Foster & Adopt Program

CAT's goal through the Foster-and-Adopt program is to grow and maintain a network throughout central Virginia where friendly cats and kittens can be cared for and placed in forever homes. In order to achieve our goal, we will: 

• Respond to requests for assistance in bringing in friendly stray cats and kittens into our system;
• Provide cats who are up for adoption necessary medical care, including (but not limited to) spay/neuter, vaccinations, testing for FIV and FeLV, and parasite control;
• Provide ongoing support to volunteer fosters through the organization;
• Work to place cats and kittens in permanent homes, providing any necessary follow-up assistance as needed;
• Keep a custody record of cats and kittens who come through our network so as to better support these cats in the future as needed.
